I‘m Klara Balogh-Bona, I’m from Hungary and I live in beautiful Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, UK.

I understand what it’s like to be a new parent. Confusion, lack of sleep, lack of time and JOY, lot’s of it. I know it’s frustrating to have blurry images of your newborn. Nobody should experience not having beautiful, tangible memories of the baby they longed for.

I am a safety certified lifestyle newborn photographer and I specialise in creating custom heirlooms for parents who want to cherish this time forever.

How do i serve you?

1) I will photograph your family in the comfort of your home. This allows you to concentrate on bonding with your baby and healing from birth. Your session will be relaxed and your images will turn out authentic and emotive.

2) Your Newborn session will last around two hours, contrary to traditional newborn portraiture where you might be sitting in a hot studio for 4-5 hours. I take the stress out of the experience and I save you time.

3) I am newborn safety certified by a strict international organization(by APNPI) and know everything there is to know about posing babies and their safety still, I decided not to pose them in unnatural poses. Most of them don’t tolerate too much stimulation well, it takes away hours from your precious bonding time, and it is just not my aesthetic. I like authentic images and I believe babies are perfect the way they are.

5) I will come to you for your Reveal. You’ll have top of the class heirlooms, leather samples and all bells and whistles laid out under your finger prints. We will brainstorm what’s next for you and you’ll see wall art custom designed for your space as well.

6) I will handle all aspects of designing, creating and delivery of your heirlooms. You just have to pick your favourites, let me do the rest of the work for you.

Random facts about me

I’m a mom of two mischievous little boys and wife to my soul mate. I’m very much an attachment parent and this shows in my work. I do not pose babies in unnatural or risky positions, I do love to capture them naturally, without pops or frills. I love neutral colours and light and airy images. I love capturing babies in motion and I love to capture milestones because I know that once babies start to wiggle, they will not stop for a second and nobody should settle for blurry photos. I’m obsessed with the maternal form and I love capturing it in nude. I love talking about birth and breastfeeding, I have been breastfeeding for 4 years now. Motherhood is tough on me and my work is my escapism. By giving my all to serve other families, I fill my cup to enjoy mine.

WHAT KIND OF PHOTOGRAPHER ARE YOU? 

My style can be best described as organic and sentimental, showing real emotions, capturing real connections. It is simple and respectful with regards to newborns as I believe newborns are perfect as they are. My mission is to capture the raw love and the sweet beginning of family life, where your story truly begins: in your home. I strive to capture authentic moments of the newborn baby and his or her family. I will provide a generous gallery of images that can be displayed in your home as pieces of art or archived in a custom album to be treasured for generations. These photographs will be an investment in your family history. Images from your session often tell a story, capturing a treasured moment in time. I do not try to make you look perfect, stiff, or unnatural, my sessions are relaxed and fun.

WHERE WILL MY SESSION BE HELD? 

Together we will choose the perfect location for your session.  Newborn sessions are held at your home.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY NEWBORN SESSION?

As early as you can really, around 20 weeks. However it’s never too late, even when baby is born you can book me (if I have availability).

WHEN DO NEWBORN SESSIONS OCCUR? 

 I like to do newborn sessions within the first two weeks of life. However I often photograph babies past that date and the images are just as gorgeous!

WHEN DO MATERNITY SESSIONS OCCUR? 

Maternity sessions are best done around 28 - 34 weeks of pregnancy, but it is never too late to capture this time.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? 

Be comfortable, be yourself. I provide a growing studio wardrobe for you to choose from for your session.

WILL I GET MY DIGITAL PHOTOS AFTER THE SHOOT? 

Photographs grow in value over time and become family treasures. I know the importance of archiving and saving digital images. Two weeks after your session, you will be able to choose your favourites, or all of your images to be purchased and I will create gorgeous, custom albums, story boxes or wall art for your family. With every print purchase, comes a complimentary, matching digital file in both colour and black and white.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE WHICH IMAGES IN MY GALLERY FROM OUR SHOOT? 

I look carefully at each and every image we capture at your session and hand select the best images. I am looking for images that best represent artistic vision and your family, as each is radically unique. I guarantee minimum of 30 images, but there are usually many more included. Lucky you!

HOW FAR OUT ARE YOU BOOKED? 

I typically book one to three months in advance. If you are interested in newborn portraits, please inquire while you are pregnant. Already delivered? No problem. Just get in touch to see my availability!

DO YOU OFFER MINI-SESSIONS?  

No; mini-sessions are not conducive to my style.  I am after a collection of images for lifelong appreciation.  

HOW MUCH DOES ALL OF THIS COST? 

A 200£ session fee for newborns and 150£ for maternity and a 100£ for family photography is due when booking to secure your session date. Fine Art print products, such as bespoke albums, story boxes and wall art is to be purchased separately. Investment starts at 450£. Inquire for more today!

Is Lifestyle photography for You?

If you:
- suspect that you won't want to leave the house 1-2 weeks postpartum for a longer period of time,
- won't want to sit in a studio for 4 hours (again, postpartum),
- don't want to hand your newborn baby to a total stranger to sooth and pose him or her,
- don't like the style of traditional studio photography, but rather you’d like something more modern,
- aspire to be an attachment parent and want to snuggle your baby every.single.minute.

Then we are in the same boat, I was there once too. I desperately wished someone (skilled and professional) would capture what my early days of Motherhood was like. To capture that magic for me and for my kids. I could not image myself sitting in a hot studio, away from my baby and having a stranger handle him. I am very much an attachment parent and from the moment I held both of my boys, I never wanted to let them out of my embrace. Not to mention let them be posed in certain poses.

I am safety certified, I am trained and know how to execute traditional newborn poses, but I also know some of them need lots of skills as they can be risky. I also know that babies hate the whole process. After all, all they want is their mom to keep them save, warm and fed.

so I have decided to not pose babies in unnatural poses and to not use various props simply because:

Newborn babies are perfect just as they are!
