Boudoir Photographer in Suffolk has her own Photoshoot and shares her experience
Hello there,
It’s been a while. Your local empowering boudoir photographer here, Klara.
As many of you know, I have had my own boudoir photoshoot in August, when I popped home and one of my best friends, who is also a photographer, Szabo Eszter Photography, and it’s been overdue that I shared my pictures and my experience.
It’s been an incredibly exciting experience - for me as a photographer to try out all my favourite poses, being guided, trusting another photographer to guide me and see what I can’t see, to wear very see-through lingerie and be vulnerable….I have to say I was nervous a bit in the beginning but I so so thoroughly enjoyed it, it gave me a high I had for weeks after!
It felt amazing to be in these poses, to feel like a Goddess and when I saw the back of her camera, to get that confirmation of Efff yes I am a Goddess. It felt truly special.
The styling of my boudoir photoshoot was entirely different than what my aesthetic is in the studio - it was not minimal at all. It was quite adorned and one of the studios out of the two we rented for the shoot was actually like a literal jungle! I did enjoy it a lot but I did miss my lightning tricks and magic when I photographed my friend. Because I did that too! It was quite a crazy day!
As for my outfits, I did start purchasing them about 2 months prior to the photoshoot and I must say they were kinda small at the time but I was also in a shift with my lifestyle so I managed to fit into almost all of them. The blue two piece I had from Honey Birdette (the blue teddy and the pink bodice was from Honey Birdette too) was still tiny but I managed to pull it off by laying on the bed. I wouldn’t want to show off my tummy as well, as almost all women, I am tummy conscious as well so I knew to only bring one 2 piece set.
This is a good reminder ladies, if you are tummy conscious, make sure to not pack many 2 pieces - or not at all.
The black bodice I had with the stockings was a funny story: on the morning of my shoot I decided to rummage my old wardrobe and I found this old piece and I thought I will just throw it in the suitcase and will see how it turns out. I really love how it looks when I’m blocking my non PG body parts and when I’m blocking my tummy as I’m sitting but apart from that it has no hold nor any cups, so would I bring it again? Probably not. I’d rather bring a black bodice that has nice hold all around the torso and has at least wires at the bust.
All in all as for the outfits, it was really great to try out different things, see how my clients think when opting for clothes and see really what guidance is best.
I am all for accepting and embracing our bodies, but I am also all for bringing out the best version of ourselves, so I will always recommend bringing clothes you feel and look good in, that have hold and shapes the body beautifully.
It was so empowering! Literally, I was on a high the whole day and even 2 weeks after I felt like I was the most badass woman in the world. Like I could do anything, I can take on the world! It also helped me to appreciate my body even more than I did before. I know I am the most encouraging woman ever when it comes to encouraging others, but towards myself, I am just the same as everyone else - looking for the faults, looking for what to fix. Looking at my flat bum or pancake boobies but honestly…This body has been through a lot and yes, maybe I could give it some more love and care, still I look at these pictures and I feel so grateful to be alive. To be beautiful. To be a powerful, beautiful, woman. To be a woman who owns her skin, who owns herself. There’s always room for improvement and self-love is not a destination but a journey, but God, I am so thankful to be alive in this skin I am in!
