This is how it feels when I walk the talk - White sheet boudoir session | Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk Boudoir Photography Studio by Klara Balogh-Bona

All this happened during the Covid-19 pandemic when I couldn’t photograph my beautiful clients, so I decided to turn the camera on me for a change. It was a truly transformative, fun and vulnerable experience.

"I cannot fully express how I felt at the moment when I took my clothes off in front of my camera, alone in the room, I felt...shy and ashamed.

I felt ashamed of my mom body.

I thought to myself: really, who am I to show you how to rock your body when I neglected to love mine for so long. I have 40 lbs to lose, I have saggy boobs and minimal muscle tone. I have embarked on a journey to health and self-love but it's too early to show just yet.

Then it occurred to me, that I don't need to look perfect to show you that you can do it too. Really, maybe this is not about you guys, maybe this one is really just for me. Then I looked at my phone and saw myself in super unflattering poses and yet I worked through them and persisted.

And now here I am sitting, looking at my images in b-i-g and seeing a woman who is beautiful. I see a young mother who gives all of her to her family, that gives all of her to her craft and to fellow women who need a hand to hold them, lift them up.

I see a woman who might have neglected her body, byt I still see her as strong, capable and beautiful. And I feel Proud and Worthy.

I cannot wait to shoot some more self-portraits, these are transformational!
I did this shoot initially to show you that you can rock a boudoir session even if you don't have a "magazine-approved" body, even if you just set on a journey of self-love.

Here's to real women! xxx
