What makes my newborn service different?
WHAT MAKES My newbon service DIFFERENT?
1) I will photograph your family in the comfort of your home. So you don’t have travel to a studio, which allows you to concentrate on bonding with your baby, healing from birth and because you are more comfortable, your session will be relaxed and your images will turn out authentic to you.
2) Newborn sessions usually last around two hours, contrary to traditional newborn portraiture where you might be sitting in a hot studio waiting for your baby to be posed and photographed for 4-5 hours. With me, when we are done with your family photos, and I take your baby’s portraits since you are in your home, you can go on and lie down if you need to, make a sandwich for older kids or have daddy take them out to the playground. So much more freedom and flexibility.
3) I am newborn safety certified (by APNPI) and know everything there is to know about posing babies and their safety still, I decided not to pose them in unnatural poses. Most of them don’t tolerate too much stimulation well, it takes away hours from your precious bonding time, and it is just not my aesthetic. I like images that are authentic to me, and I love it when clients say “I can finally say that I can recognise myself in this photos” or “I love how you captured how we always snuggle up in the rocking chair”. I love capturing those everyday moments that are so special and fleeting.
4) I will let You sooth your baby, feed her, cuddle her whenever it’s needed. If it takes up all the session, then I will capture that. Your baby belongs in your arms.
5) I will come to you in two weeks time after your session to show you all your best images and let you pick your favourites. I will not let you alone with the decision and an online gallery. Because life will always get in the way and it will eventually become a chore. Also, I guarantee you that you will not have time or energy to figure out where and when and how to print your images. Not to mention the huge quality difference between the print products I provide and high street.
6) I will handle all aspects of designing, printing and delivering of your Fine Art artworks. You just have to pick your favourites, let me do the rest of the work for you. As a print artist, I am an expert at designing albums and wall art.

Your baby is never going to be this little, so I do my best to listen to you, and capture memories that you will hold dear forever.
Postpartum is hard and messy, but preserving your memories shouldn’t be. It should be a comfortable and seamless experience.
